Aamirah Limbada Joined the Italian school of Lusaka in the year 2005. Started from Reception class. Graduated and left the Italian school of Lusaka in 2019 after completing A-level. Currently at the University of East London, studying BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science. My time at the Italian school of Lusaka was an invaluable learning experience. I recognized my individuality during my time there, but most importantly, it was a place where I gained the confidence that I needed to face the world.

Even though I am no longer a student, I visit the Italian School often, because it has always been a home away from home for my siblings and I. Having joined the school long ago in 2003, I have been lucky enough to watch it grow from the days it was a small primary school under the late Mrs Gilardi's guidance, to the successful, fully developed school it is today. I am also very honoured to have been part of the first graduating A level class in 2017.

I really enjoyed my time at Italian school. I always felt encouraged and loved by the teachers. It was, and still is, a very supportive academic environment which challenges its students to become independent and critical thinkers - something that has personally helped me make a smooth transition to university. Besides academics, some of my fondest memories are those spent with my friends during breaks and plays/debates/sports days and so much more! Italian school will always be in my heart!
