  1. Job description

  • The Teacher will be responsible for providing effective teaching, support and assessment to a range of learners aged 14-18 at IGCSE and A’ levels.  He/She  will be delivering teaching focused on IGCSE/ A’ level Coursework and functional skills in Economics and Business Studies. 

  1. Essential educational Qualifications and Requirements 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Economics or related subjects

  • Experience of ongoing professional updating and development in relevant fields 

  • Registered and certified with the Teaching Council of Zambia

  1. Essential skills, experience and Competencies

  • Experience of teaching Economics and Business Studies to students aged 14-18 at IGCSE and A’ levels.

  • Excellent classroom skills that allow you to engage and motivate learners and ensure the development of their skills, knowledge and understanding by using a range of teaching and learning strategies

  • An ability to design, develop and deliver high quality teaching materials

  • To be able to teach effectively with good classroom management skills

  • Self-driven with good interpersonal and written skills

  • Good IT skills and ability to deliver online lessons

  • Good organisational skills with the ability to achieve deadlines

  • To be able to work effectively within a team 

  • The ability to plan and monitor one’s own workload

  • The ability to maintain and produce relevant documentation and records

  • Not less than 5 years working experience
