History

The Italian school started in the early 70's as a very small school. The current Junior High block was the only building. It was an Italian medium school mainly catering to the needs of the Italian community in Zambia at that time. In 1996, it became an English medium Primary School with Italian taught as an additional language. The Zambian curriculum was largely followed during this period with classes going up to Grade7. In September 2005, Grade 8 was added thereby starting the Junior High School, that went up to Grade 9 and the school switched to the British curriculum. In September 2009 the IGCSE grades were added with the first group of students sitting for the Cambridge Examinations in 2011.
